Not really, but that’s the way it sounds. Akon joined forces with pop legend Michael Jackson in a song titled “Hold My Hand.” The song will be released on Akon’s third album, which at this point is untitled. Akon told MTV News that working with MJ was, “A dream come true.” He also went on to say:

“Just to be in the same room, I felt everything I wanted to accomplish in life has been achieved,” Akon said. “That aura … that’s how incredible that aura is. We about to shake the world up, man. You know how you be with somebody and you can’t even explain? I used to sit and think, ‘How does somebody sell so many records and dominate a whole business genre to a point nobody can’t be a part of that without associating with you?’ The way he thinks … some artists think regional, some think national, I was thinking international. He thinks planets. It’s on another level.”

We are not insinuating anything, but given Jackson’s past we are getting a giggle out of this. With lyrics like: “We’re better off being together than being miserable alone” and “Nothing can come between us if you just hold my hand,” can you blame us? Both entertainers have a questionable past when it comes to underage sexual acts, so if they are holding hands at least they’re both of age. We’re just playing, but they could have come up with a better title.

As if Kanye didn’t need something else to blog about….

In a concert at the Glastonbury Festival in England, Amy Winehouse shocked the crowd when she re-worded her song “Some Unholy War” and instead of the actual lyrics, Amy shouted out, “at least I’m not opening for a cunt like Kanye.” She later said that Kanye’s next album should be titled “Cunts Like Kanye.” There has been no known bad blood between the two entertainers, but we are sure it had something to do with Kanye’s 2 and a half hour delay at the Bonnaroo festival. Kanye commented back about the diss in a blog saying, “This just in…Amy Winehouse hates me!!!I’ve really made it!!!LOL!!!” Hip Hop mogul Jay Z also performed at the festival, and had this to say to MTV news about the remarks:

?She said something about Kanye late on (in her set) but I didn?t hear it and I don?t agree with it. He?s my brother and the biggest artist on Roc-A-Fella (records) right now.” I guess I should hook them up because he?s a great guy too. I don?t know what the problem is- I don?t know where that (comment) came from.?

Prior to her remix bashing Kanye, a video of the concert shows Winehouse bending down during her performance of “Rehab” and grunting as she punched one of the fans in the cowd. Also seen in the video, Winehouse mean mugs this person for the rest of the song. James Gostelow commented after the show that there were no hard feelings and “Not everyone can say they been hit by Amy Winehouse.” Nuts, we know. Galstonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis, defended Winehouse’s actions saying the fan either grabbed her hair or her breast.

Winehouse has always been a media hog, with her antics attracting the attention of the paparazzi day in and day out. Lately she has been in the news even more than usual with her recent blackout and extended stay in the hospital where she was treated for pre-emphysema symptoms. Shortly after being released from the hospital, Amy was seen firing up a cigarette. Just when the sparks where starting to die out Amy had to add fuel to the fire to keep the spotlight on her with her remarks about Kanye.

Pharrell Williams is apparently more strange than we thought. Reports are flying that the rapper is no longer satisfied with the state of his current skin. Pharrell has decided he has too many tattoos that he doesn’t like anymore, so he’s growing new skin in order to replace them. WTF??

Pharrell says, “It’s basically like getting a skin graft, but you’re not taking skin from your a– or legs – these guys actually grow the skin for you. When it has healed you can go get whatever tattoo you want. There’s an institute called the Wake Forest Institute in North Carolina for Regenerative Skin Treatment. It’s going to be pricey, but ? it’s worth it. I got fire on my arms, I don’t need fire on my arms! I’m a grown man.”

We’re pretty sure Pharrell is going to come under some scrutiny for this one. The Wake Forest Institue for Regenerative Skin Treatment is an industry leader in stem cell therapy. The Institute uses stem cells to create skin, muscle, bone, fat, blood vessels, nerve and liver cells in the laboratory. Stem cells have been the source of much controversy among lawmakers and medical professionals. Usually the process is used for life-threatening illnesses, not cosmetic surgery.

We think it’s pretty gross that Pharrell is going to have skin grown to replace his own… just to get more tattoos. We hope it’s dry skin that itches. We’ll keep you posted!
