The infamous pregnant man, Thomas Beatie, has given birth to a little girl. ABC reports that Beatie and his wife welcomed their new baby on Sunday and that Beatie is doing fine.

Beatie and his wife Nancy created quite a stir when they announced that he was pregnant. Then came the obvious question: HOW?

Thomas Beatie was born Tracy Lagondino. He is a transgender male, with female reproductive parts. He takes the male hormone testosterone twice daily. As Tracy Lagondino, Beatie was a Hawaiian beauty queen, even competing in the finals of the Miss Hawaii Teen USA pageant. Beatie then met his future wife Nancy, and because same sex marriage is illegal in Hawaii, he legally changed his gender to male and married his bride. Beatie told Oprah he kept his female reproductive parts so that one day he could have a child, and that he views pregnancy as a process, one that does not define who he is. Ummm, silly dude… pregnancy is for chicks.

Beatie was artificially inseminated with donor sperm… in his home… BY HIS WIFE. The couple explain that they used a syringe without a needle to shoot sperm into Beatie’s vagina.
